As my late brother (who had some insight into winning) would say, Texas wanted it more. Having lived in Austin for 20 years, the Longhorns were his favorite college team, and I'm sure he was rooting from his skybox. How I wished we could have been on the phone last night like we were for all those Yankee World Series championships. Texas played a fantastic game, made fewer mistakes, and finished strong. Congratulations to the champions.
I went to bed at the half, being shagged from staying up late the night before, watching Penn State win the Orange Bowl. Whoo! I dig Texas, nonetheless, was stationed in San Antonio for a couple years, and even considered UT after getting out of the USAF.
PGA golf starting soon, and NFL conclusion as well.
Laters,

True, VY was in a "zone"...but TX got some help from a couple of critical blown calls by the officials, one resulting in a touchdown and the other negating what sure looked like an interception...still, nobody on the field could tackle Young..whatever becomes of him in the NFL, he will always have this game in his mind forever, the night he took the Lone Star state on his back and rammed it into the endzone.
