Blogging will be suspended temporarily while we mourn the passing of my brother Paul. He had been sick his entire life and was one of the most determined souls I have ever met. We are not surprised, but heartbroken. He was a terrific guy.

I came across this as I was looking for Paul's obituary. I am a member of the church community that Paul attended in Round Rock, TX.
I learned a lot about determination, will, and compassion from Paul. He will be sorely missed. We, along with you, mourn his passing.

I grew up with Paul in the neighborhood in Ossining. He was from Osage drive west, and i was from osage drive east.
Only a third of a mile circle, yet the east/west rivalry was a tough one. Paul was one the best on the west's team. Fast of foot and sports smart they dominated us eastsider's in most sports. we won a few by size, but never by speed.
Paul was fun to hang with and party with, even bar hopped with us (not drinking of course, a designated driver before it was in style). he was/is still one of the funnier members of the neighborhood. I'm sure we all have some good "paul stories" to tell.
Unfortunately, we get older and our lives take us our different ways and we lose touch with each other. I last saw Paul after he received his transplants, and we met at our friend mike's house. He looked great. It was a great reunion among friends, and we laughed and reminised and all of that time in between seemed to vanish.
And now with his passing, I am saddened by the loss of a friend, but glad to have known him and to have seen his courage as we grew up together. And through it all he was always just one of the guys.

Philip, I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like his trials did not daunt his spirit - may he rest in peace.

I met Paul on LDSSingles.com in 2004 and he was a wonderful friend. I never forget our friendship and the times we shared when I came to Texas 2004/2005 and we had a good old time.
I will never forget him.Manuela from Germany
